Delicious healing food served with love
Taking inspiration from the ancient Greek word for Earth (Γαία), the GAIA restaurant offers a blend of regionally inspired contemporary Greek and Mediterranean dishes, with an emphasis on simplicity, healthy living and flavor. Our passionate team has nurtured a relationship with local farmers, producers and winemakers, to create a menu that uses seasonal products from organic and responsible farms whenever possible. Ingredients for 1 tray 1/1
- 640 gr. Flour
- 160 gr. Butter
- 480gr Sugar
- 5 eggs
- 300ml Orange Juice
- Zest from 2 Oranges
- 80ml Cognac
- 1 tsp Soda
- 1pc Vanilla Pod
- 100-200gr Icing Sugar for Decoration
Preparation
- Using a mixer, whisk the butter and sugar to a fluffy mixture
- Add gradually the eggs till they are fully incorporated
- Add the Orange Juice and the cognac
- Add the Flour and the zest Pour the mixture over a buttered-floured tray
- Bake in 170⁰ C for 40 minutes
- Decorate with the icing sugar when fully cooled down.
